The time of year when the weather is just turning cooler and the leaves start changing is when Jennie and Travis decided to get married at beautiful Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Pocantico Hills, NY. They were based on the west coast, but couldn’t imagine their Blue Hill wedding without their beloved dog Turley, so he flew over with them! Turley was an adorable addition at the ceremony, and then retired early with Pawfect for You back to the hotel. Since he couldn’t stay later, he also made an appearance as an illustration on the signature cocktail sign!
Jennie wore an elegant white lace gown with a striking black sash. Her shoes were Christian Louboutin heels with a black ribbon ties. The bridesmaids wore their own choice of long black gowns and jumpsuits. With Travis and the groomsmen in black tuxedos, they made for a very classy wedding party.
The ceremony took place in the courtyard in front of the grand oak tree, which had a few leaves starting to turn. There were lush florals growing up from the ground at the start of the aisle, lanterns lining the aisle and two statement pieces in urns to mark the ceremony area, filled with roses, hydrangea, lisianthus and anemone. The cocktail reception was in the dooryard garden. We added string lights over the vegetable beds and uplights on the trees to give the space a warm and inviting glow as the sun was setting.
Jennie hand wrote the escort cards and place cards and Travis designed the table names which included pictures of a duck, dandelion, mushrooms, strawberry, key, top bat and bunny! The long tables were decorated with tall green branch arrangements and low lush florals with pillar candles and votives in between. Their 5 course dinner started with beet salad, followed with Maine lobster, strip loin of beef, wedding cake and ended with passed desserts on the dance floor!
